I snore, an unfortunate family trait besides tendency to grow sideways. Back in the days where I sleep with Moo, she sometimes record my snore and play it back for me when she can't sleep. Very strange thing to do in the middle of the night. She should have just poke me to stop snoring. Oh wait, she did but she said I grew immune and keep snoring. Poor thing...
The other day when I was browsing through apps looking for God knows what, I came across this app called Snoreclock. It allows you to record your snore pattern and allows playback. Unfortunately it doesn't do things like cure your snore.
As you can see from the pictorial summary, the red areas are where snoring occurs. Good news, I don't snore throughout the night. Bad news, I snore.. and I snore like a cow. I had a good laugh hearing myself snore and I playback a couple of times and laugh some more. No I don't have mad cow disease.
I am lucky to have two close friends that can sleep throughout any noise. Ironically I can't sleep if some one snores. Must be payback karma for disturbing other people's sleep. Nite once asked, how can you sleep through your own snore? I guess God is kind as well as having a sadistic sense of humor.
Snoring happens when your airways relaxed and collapsed forcing your to force air in and our of your airway when you breathe. Can also be caused by fat neck, that will be me. Yet another reason to loose weight. It can also be premonition to sleep apnea, which unfortunately runs in my family as well. So far I have yet to exhibit obvious symptoms but I am thinking of consulting doctor for possibility of that happening to me.
I wonder if doctor would laugh if I let him hear my recording....
